Montreal Dharma Punx - date, time, location, meditation
Meditation group and community, peer led weekly meditation sittings and discussions. This is a group that is still in the beginning stages, but is hoping to attract many spiritual revolutionaries with time. For now it will be 20-25 minute guided meditations in the vippassana tradition with discussion afterwards. With time we would also like to have a peer led reading group of the main teachings of the Siddhartha Gautama Buddha. All are welcome...
Starting Sunday - October 21st - 8pm @ Joy of Yoga Studio 460 St. Catherine O. suite 403
We'd love to see you there!

Compassion
As I sit here stuffed up with cold and worn from the month's meditation work I wonder, can I have compassion for myself in this moment?
Instead of crawling up in a ball and sleeping it off or averting myself from the present moment with distractions of phone calls or e-mails. Can I begin to transform all the collective trauma and inevitable change that is in the automn air into a tiny seed of mercy for myself and others??? I have heard the words of kindness and compassion so often, but never thought it applied to me until recently. The Buddha said you will never find anyone more deserving of compassion than yourself, yet so often we forget.
As this new project beging and friends begin to unite for the first time, I humbly thank everyone for thier effort in making this happen, and I welcome the energy of compassion.
Om shanti
